Description
Erected in 1962, Johnson Hill Fire Tower replaced a tower located 25 miles to the north. The 100’ steel tower with 10’x 10’ fiber class cab was established to provide fire detection to a region of active timber harvesting. The NS/DNR tower is staffed each summer.
