Description
The first fire tower at Baker Butte on the Mogollon Rim District of the Coconino National Forest was a wooden 6'x6' cab on a 20' metal tower with ladder access constructed in 1921. In 1936 the CCC replaced it with the present R-3 12'x12' wooden live in cab without catwalk on a 30' Aermotor MC-24 metal tower.
