The oldest active lookout in Arizona, Deer Springs, was built in 1923 on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. The Aermotor LL-25 tower with 7’x7' metal cab is one of only two existing in the southwestern U.S. and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
