Description
Very little is known about Big Hill Lookout. Apparently built in the 1930's according to Thornton's 1986 survey. Big Hill was the only structure noted in the survey to have been built by the Bureau of Indian Affairs in California.
The design is similar to Green Mountain Lookout located in Mariposa County, a 1942 CDF built structure.
