Located on Little Bald Mountain on the Tahoe National Forest, Duncan Peak Lookout is the third detection station on this site. The first was a 10’ tower built between 1910 and 1915. In 1917 a ground house was built just north of the current structure and dismantled in 1941. The present 14’x14’ BC-3 groundhouse with catwalk was constructed in 1943.
