Originally a crow's nest lookout, the current tower was built in 1963. It has a K-brace tower of over 50 feet,and view includes Hetch Hetchy Valley and Yosemite High Country. It is 54 feet tall with a 13'x13' live in cab constructed of steel. As of 2017, the tower is standing but not in use.
