Description

In 1939, the CCC built the original 100' wood structure with 5'x5' cab for the California Division of Forestry (now CalFire). In 1959 it was replaced with a 91' steel tower with an unusual 5'x5' cab with catwalk. The lookout was staffed by CalFire from approximately 1940 to 1994 while multiple lumber mills and logging operations were underway.
