Description
CDF moved the CCC built Lone Pine Lookout tower (where a lookout stood as early as 1924) and house to its present location in 1956. The tower was extended from 45 1 to 92' high. The cab was remodeled to accommodate a catwalk (CDF Plan 820). The house (Forest Service design BC-201) has had its front porch removed, some windows changed and asbestos tile siding added. There are two Aermotor Company towers in the CDF&FP system which fall into the 80' to 95' category.
