Description
Turner Mountain features 2 lookout structures; an Aermotor 7x7 observation only cabin atop a 60 foot steel tower and a California Region 5 Plan BC-301 ground cabin. The Aermotor tower was constructed in 1934, the BC-301 at an unknown date.
A 10x10 cabin was first constructed on Turner Mountain in 1913. The lookout reported the volcanic eruption at Mt. Lassen on September 30, 1014.
