Condition

Needs paint? Yes
Shutters OK? Not Applicable
Condition of wood OK? Not Applicable
Stairs OK? Yes
Glass intact? No
Good condition? Yes
Comments: The tower is fenced, but appears structurally sound. Stairs and catwalk were solid. All windows have been removed, and boarded over with a black-out material; cab door is locked + padlocked, and you can hear machinery running inside the cab.

Electronics and Enroachments

Are electronic sites enroaching on tower? Yes
Comments: There was a small building built inside the feet of the tower, as well as what I assume to be a generator box. The tower has various antennae and dishes attached to it. Machinery can be heard running inside the locked cab.

Access and Signs

NHLR sign posted? No
Directions to tower signed? No
Comments? The road is gated, and rutted. Even if you could get access, I would not recommend attempting the drive in a low-clearance or non-four-wheel-drive vehicle. Hiking is probably the best access option.

Comments: The tower looked about the same since the last time I went there. We found a piece of an antenna/electrical socket on the ground that had fallen off but it is still intact. I don't think it would be safe to go up in, and is in a pretty remote area but is still standing. A small barbed wire fends surrounds the tower to prevent people from going up in it.

Electronics and Enroachments

Are electronic sites enroaching on tower? Yes
Comments: It looks like it is a relay station for radio signals.

Other Comments

Comments The road is getting overgrown and is very steep with little to no gravel left. I would not recommend anyone try to drive up there with a vehicle. If people wanted to visit it, they will have to make the mile hike up by foot.

Comments: It it rusted and looks very old. The gate was locked, and we were unable to go inside and I wouldn't want to anyway because i'm not sure how stable it is. I am sure it would be fine, but the structure certainly does look very old and worn down.

Electronics and Enroachments

Are electronic sites enroaching on tower? Yes
Comments: It appears that radio repeater equipment is installed on the tower.
