Description
Brundage Lookout began as with a log cabin camp in 1914. A two story 18x18 log structure was built in 1919 and replaced with a 20x20 log lookout in 1929.
The current structure was constructed in 1982, a 2 story concrete and wood flat top design on a rubble base.
The area is very popular with hikers in the Summer and skiers at the Brundage Resort in the Winter.
The lookout is staffed every fire season by the Southern Idaho Timber Protective Association.
