Lookout Details
Description
Originally known as Looking Glass Mountain, Gisborne Mountain Lookout was renamed for Harry T. Gisborne who conducted fire research on the surrounding Priest River Experimental Forest (a part of the Kaniksu National Forest). The first lookout was built in 1932, with the present 41’ wooden tower with 15x15’ live-in flattop cab and catwalk being constructed in 1958.
