Description

Built in 1927, the first lookout was a 16'x16' shake cabin. An L-4 cab replaced it in 1931. The present 10' concrete base topped by an R-6 cab, built in 1961, was used for emergencies into the 1970s. Open to public use, the site is located in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness.
