Description
Sleeping Deer Mountain lookout is on the northern section of the Challis National Forest, close to where the Boise, Payette, and Salmon National Forests join. The hip roof L-4 groundhouse with catwalk was built in 1935 and last staffed in 1997 and is now on emergency status.
