Description
St. Joe Baldy was constructed in 1954 replacing an earlier lookout site about a mile away.
A Region 1/L-4 cabin was placed atop a 10 foot block tower.
The lookout has not been staffed since the 1980's. The catwalk, shutters and stairs have been removed. The structure is now used as a communications vault.
