Description
Swanholm Peak has been a fire detection site since 1921. A log, ground cabin was built in 1922. It was replaced by the current Region 1 Plan cabin on a 10 foot concrete block tower in 1954.
The forest no longer staffs Swanholm Peak but it is kept in shape ready for emergency duty if needed.
