Description
Weitas Butte Lookout (originally named Wet Ass) is a 14’x14’ L-4 cab with catwalk on a 53’ timber tower built on the Clearwater National Forest in 1953, replacing an L-4 on a 30’ pole tower dating to 1931.
In 1983 it became one of the first lookouts placed in the rental system. While not currently available for rent, it is expected to return to the rental system in 2015.
