This tower was built in the 1930s and is believed to have been previously operated by the Kentucky Division of Forestry. As of 2018, the tower is abandoned but still in generally good condition, with some broken glass and minor rust. It is located adjacent to modern communications towers owned by the American Tower Corporation.
