Description

Constructed by the Massachusetts Bureau of Fire Control, Pelham Fire Tower is fourth lookout at this site. It is a 68’ steel tower with a 10’x10’ cab without catwalk. The first lookout here was built in 1913 by the Amherst Mountain Club.

Comments: The tower is generally good-looking. The stairs are okay, but the wood is splintered in some places and a little shaky in others- unusual for a staffed tower.
