Description
This 110-feet steel tower was built in the late 1930s on a site acquired by the State of Maryland in January 1934. As of 2007, the tower hosted communications equipment for the Maryland Forest Service and Garrett County EMS.
While the tower site is owned by the state, the access road is privately owned. Legal access to the tower site is not possible, but the tower is visible from Maryland Route 42.
