Description
Constructed by the CCC in 1940, this tower is the last remaining tower in the Manistee National Forest.

| Comments: | The Forest Service obviously doesn't want anyone climbing the tower. The first flight has been removed and the base is wrapped with barbed wire. This has not deterred some local artisans with more chutzpah than talent, judging from the quality of the graffiti that can be seen from below. <br /> <br />There is interpretive signage at the site. |

| Comments: | There is a communication tower about 100 yards away from the tower but it doesn't appear to be an issue. |

| Comments? | Good luck finding it, don't rely on your GPS, some of the mapped roads are not roads at all. (My GPS sent me to a road that is actually a line of high voltage transmission towers.) OnStar sent me to some farmer's home about two miles from here that never heard of the tower. |
