Description
Camdenton Lookout, a 60' steel tower, was built in 1942 on a 40-acre site acquired the previous year by the Missouri Conservation Commission. The cab was overhauled in Fiscal Year 1970.
A watchman's dwelling was constructed in 1946. It received new wiring, sheetrock, insulation, cabinets, and a water filter in Fiscal Year 1966. A new roof, ceramic tile in the bath, storm windows, and new gutters were added in Fiscal Year 1970. A new heating system, duct work, well pump, and porch repairs were completed between 1972 and 1974.
