The Coot Mountain Lookout Tower is a (currently) Missouri Department of Conservation-owned tower, built in 1942 by the CCC. The tower features a cabin and garage for lodging tower staff, these appear to be younger than the tower and built in the MDC modern style used throughout Missouri.
The tower steps as of July 2024 are in an older but functional state. From the top, the tower has views of the hills surrounding Eminence to the west, and the Current River water channel between two hills to the east.
