Description

Resources regarding the Fairview tower are extremely limited, however it allegedly was erected in 1937, as a steel tower (Possibly a Aermotor MC-39, 1934). It is located in a small clearing off the road of highway 17 and is surrounded by fencing and barbed wire. There is a small sign posted that informs you of the towers original purpose for preventing forest fires, in addition to an explanation for its closure (vandalism) and informs you that the site is under active surveillance. Cab is relatively small, and the tower is in good shape! Most windows are intact and stairs seem to have been recently replaced.
Also located in Mark Twain National Forest off highway 17. Can be found after driving up a short, gravel road into a small grassy clearing. This tower is about 20 miles from the Roby Tower Site.
