Description

A well-known landmark in the Granite State, Pequawket Fire Tower was one of the earliest detection sites in the state, going into service in 1913. The 28' steel tower originally had a 10’x10' standard NH wooden cab which was remodeled in 1953 and 1977. In 2000 a 12’x12' "perched" enlarged wooden cab was constructed and may become a prototype for the state. It is in active service.
