Description

The Stratham Hill Fire Tower was constructed in 1931 by the N.H. Department of Forests and Lands on property that had been donated as a community park in 1905. The 53' steel tower, with a public observation platform at the 45' level has a 10'x10' cab with no catwalk. Staffed by the state until 1976, it is now maintained by the Town of Stratham. The original wooden cab was burned in 1997 and replaced with a metal cab.
