James Ridge Lookout is located on the Sacramento Ranger District. The tower is an Aermotor LX-24 type that has been remodeled. The tower is 62 feet high with a 7X7 foot cab. The lookout was moved to James Ridge in 1967 from its original location at the Mayhill lookout site.
