Description

Zephyr Point, the last U.S. Forest Service lookout in Nevada, is located near the southeast corner of Lake Tahoe. Built in 1932, it is one of only 12 remaining 4AR style cabs, of which six are in California, two each are in Oregon and Arizona, and one each is located in Idaho and Nevada. Inactive for many years, it was last staffed by the Nevada Division of Forestry and has been restored.
