Description

Two Adirondack Fire Towers were removed in the 1980's, West and Kempshall. They were placed in storage and in the 1990's the museum purchased the tower parts and built a single tower as a permanent exhibit at the museum. Visitors must enter the museum to climb the fire tower. Along with other exhibits at the museum, a robust educational program has been developed for local schools where children can visit the fire tower and learn about the history of fire towers around the State.
