Comments? The parking lot was well plowed by the Town of Franklin. There is good signage at the lot and along the trail. The trail goes through a timber easement and active logging may be going on in the area. It was signed to that affect at the time of this visit. The trail is well marked and once past the active logging site still has most of the telephone poles in place along the route.

Comments: While the 35' Aermotor LS40 steel tower and cab are in structurally sound condition the structure need considerable work to be safely accessed by the public. The structure is in need of painting and replacement of tow of the cab roof panels. Additionally, all of the wood including steps and cab floor need to replaced.

This tower can be succcessfully restored as it is currently on an NYS classification of land that allows it to remain. However currently the main trail access is on privately owned property. However public access will be possible after Earth day 2009. Currently there are efforts to create a committee to restore this tower for safe public use.
