Description
The lookout at Bland Mountain has an unusual history. Built in 1947 with a 25’ wood tower, it was lowered in 1996. The ODF 14’x14’ flattop cab with catwalk was remounted on a 20’ tapered metal tower that formerly held a water tank at the Oregon Dept. of Forestry Canyonville office. It is a “one of a kind” result! It is staffed by the Douglas Forest Protection Association.
