Description
Red Butte Lookout on the west side of the Umpqua National Forest was the site of a L-4 cab on a 20' pole tower. It was replaced with the existing outrigger L-4 on a 41' treated timber tower in 1953. Used only in emergencies in recent years, the station is to be moved to Lookout Mountain in the future and possibly added to the cabin rental system.
