The entrance for the tower can be found about a half mile before the Leonard Harrison State Park entrance on Route 660 in Wellsboro, Tioga County Pennsylvania. The tower was previously known as the Valley Forge Observation Tower. The observatory was situated in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania to overlook George Washington's encampment, the tower was dismantled and reassembled at its current location in 1988. Today, after ascending 125 steps, visitors are rewarded with incredible vistas of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, also known as Pine Creek Gorge.
