Description
Silver Creek Fire Tower was erected in the spring of 1926 on property now owned by the Blythe Township, just south of Weiser State Forest. In World War II is was used as an Aircraft Warning Service station. The 60’ Aermotor tower with metal 7’x7’ cab was damaged in a storm in the mid 1940’s and rebuilt. The new cab has an updated window design.
