Description

Tunk Hill Fire Tower is the first listing in Rhode Island and is the first lookout to be registered that is owned by a municipality, the City of Providence. Built in 1935, the 100-ft tower, with 8'x8' cab, has been active in watershed and state fire detection ever since. The Scituate Reservoir lands are closed to public entry, but arrangements can be made for group tours through the Providence Water Supply Board.
