Description
This 80' Aermotor LS-40 steel tower with 7'x7' cab was originally built near the crossroads of Appleton, SC in the late 1930s. The tower was purchased in the late 1990s from the SC Forestry Commission by Mickey Scott and moved about 3 miles to its new home and reconstructed. It is within view of Edisto/Butterfield tower (US941, SC10) owned by Dr. Mike Finch.
