Description
This tower was originally built in 1934 at Olanta, about 6 miles northwest of Lake City. It was purchased from the South Carolina Forestry Commission and moved to the Moore Farms Botanical Garden property in 2004. It is the only fire tower in the United States known to have permanent flower plants along the staircases and at each landing.
