Built in 1934 by the CCC for the Virginia Department of Forestry on a state-owned easement from the Hot Springs Company, this 35’ steel Aermotor 7'x7' tower was purchased on a cooperative basis, the State and the Bath County Protective Association each providing 50% of the funds. The property was later purchased by the U.S. Forest Service. It is currently part of The Nature Conservancy's Warm Springs Mountain Preserve.
