Description
The only fire tower still in regular use in Virginia, Piney Mountain Lookout was constructed by the Virginia Division of Forestry in 1938. It is an 80’ steel tower with 7’x7’ cab and oversees a very productive forest area just east of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
