Overlooking the remote Oak Creek Wildlife Area in eastern Washington, Cleman Mountain Lookout was established by the Division of Forestry after the war in 1946 with a cabin. An L-4 cab was built on the site in 1954. The present 14' x 14' DNR flat-gable live-in cab on a 40' timber tower was built in 1968 and last staffed by the Wenatchee National Forest in 1998.
Cleman Mountain Lookout was damaged in a storm in 2006 and destroyed in 2007.
