Description
First established as a tree platform in 1914, Funk Mountain Lookout is one of the oldest in the Northwest still in existence. A ground L-5 cab was added in 1935 and replaced in 1943 by the current L-4 cab with catwalk on a 40' treated timber tower. Used sporadically for the past decade, it was returned to service by the Okanogan National Forest in 2000.
