Three lookouts have graced Sullivan Mountain. The first was built in 1926 and featured a cupola cabin. It was replaced in 1935 by a 20-foot pole tower with an L-4 cab. The present 20-foot treated timber tower was built in 1959 and borders the Salmo-Priest Wilderness Area. Last used in the 1970s, it is presently abandoned with the upper stairs removed to limit access.
