Description
This 80-foot Wisconsin standard tower features an external protected ladder and was built at its current location in 1951. A statewide tower survey dated September, 1940 indicates that Necedah tower was originally an 84-foot steel ladder tower built in 1939 in the NENE Section 24, T18N.-R3E. It’s unknown if the original structure was moved and rebuilt in its current location or if a new tower was built in 1951. Necedah tower was staffed intermittently during spring fire season until 2015 when Wisconsin decommissioned its lookout network.
