The 8x8 wood frame building is the only remaining open air structure built in Yellowstone National Park, constructed as a secondary lookout by the CCC.
The structural members may have been completed in 1934, However the building wasn’t erected until 1935 by the CCC and probably not used until 1936.
Most probably no longer used some time in the mid to late 1940’s and the trail to the lookout was abandoned decades ago.
Building #699, Yellowstone National Park, Teton County, Wyoming.
