Description
The newest on the Coronado National Forest, Red Mountain Lookout was constructed in 1973 and overlooks the village of Patagonia. The 10’ concrete foundation supports a wooden R-6 flattop cab with overhang and a catwalk with a wooden railing. There are now several communications towers at the lookout site. In active service, it will be listed on the National Lookout Register until 2023.
