Constructed in 1931, Baltic Peak Lookout is a 80’ Pacific Coast Steel tower with 7’x7’ metal cab. Similar to a LS-40 Aermotor tower, it is made of a lighter steel and is a significant example of a pre-CCC fire tower design. The Baltic Peak Lookout has been disassembled at its original location and moved in sections (4) to Gold Bug Park in Placerville, CA.
As of 2017, the city has not reassembled the lookout and was considering selling it to any interested party.
