Description

English Peak Lookout and the associated Tom Taylor Cabin are located within the Marble Mountain Wilderness in California’s Klamath National Forest. Built in the late 1800s -- and rebuilt in 1940 -- the Taylor Cabin became one of seven ranger stations when the National Forest was established in 1908. The cabin also served as the living quarters for English Peak Lookout, a 10’ x 10’ ground house constructed in 1955.
