Description

A classic 14' x 14' L-4 groundhouse with wooden catwalk, Herd Mountain Lookout was constructed in 1933 on the Goosenest Ranger District of the Klamath National Forest in northern California. Used for fire detection since 1933, the lookout is well maintained and in near-original condition.
