Description
The Miller County Fire Tower was constructed by the Georgia Forestry Commission in 1956 in the southwest corner of the state. The 99’ International Stacy tower with metal 7’x7’ cab is unusual in that it has a catwalk. Staffed until the late 1980s, it is maintained for emergency detection and radio communications for the forestry station on the site.
