Description
Perched high in the Salmon River Mountains on the Salmon-Challis National Forest, Basin Butte Lookout was built in 1934. In emergency only status for a number of years, this 14’x14’ L-4 groundhouse with catwalk was completely restored in 2008 with a volunteer Passport in Time project by the USFS.
